When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12
Emily has been decorating the farm for Christmas for the past several years. The Christmas lights remind us of the real reason for Christmas. They symbolize that Jesus is the light of the world.
As we were in the barn this morning feeding calves the radio was playing “Joy to the World”, it made me think of the first Christmas – with the animal sounds in the background. As we prepare to head off to church (Emily will be reading the Christmas story from Luke.) we wish everyone a blessed day as we celebrate the newborn Christ-child who became the Light of the world.
P.S. It 40 degrees warmer this morning! Yesterday we had -20 and this morning it is 20 degrees.
